Who We Are
We are a startup nonprofit organization that serves as a conduit between our program participants, their support systems, and resources.
Our name is We the Conduits.
Our mission is to connect our program participants with the support and resources that will help them design and build the future of their dreams!
Our motto is connecting future leaders to resources and support today.
Our slogan is Designing. Building. Living our Dreams!
We have two programs that support high school students and young adults who are part of an underrepresented racial or ethnic group and/or self-identify as part of BIPOC.
Designing My Future is a high school program aimed at supporting low-income would-be first-generation college students who are currently in high school.
Building My Future is a post-high school program aimed at supporting young adults (ages 18-30) would-be first-generation college students who are currently not living the life they envisioned in high school.
About Our Name
“We the Conduits” describes who we are as we link resources and efforts to our program participants. It isn’t only that we are connecting them but we ourselves are the connecting fibers of the organization and between resources and people. At the same time, we want to empower our participants, volunteers, and partners to become and continue to be conduits of resources and information to their networks, families, and communities.
Conduits also provide stability and reliability because they are firmly in place. One part of our organization’s goal is to be a strong and constant path of resources for our participants. We are liaisons and advocates whom participants can rely on for support during different times throughout their success journeys.
